BioBag UK is part of BioBag International Group. Since 2020, BioBag’s parent company is Novamont an Italian company & an international leader in the bioplastics sector.

For over 10 years, BioBag compostable products have been helping British families and businesses to collect, dispose of & compost their food and garden waste cheaply and effectively.

Our UK operation is based in Tetbury, Gloucestershire. Our products are tried and tested by British consumers and are available in most supermarkets and convenience stores including Dunnes Stores, SuperValu, Tesco, Ardkeen stores, . We also supply into leading UK businesses like Lakeland and Ocado.

BioBag’s Certification

BioBag is a world-leading company in the development, production, and marketing of
certified compostable and biodegradable products.

All of our products, bags, sacks, and films are certified compostable and biodegradable
according to the European Standard EN 13432, the US Standard ASTM D6400 and the
Australian Standard AS 4736. Our standard ranges of food waste bags and bin liners all all certified ‘home compostable’ by OK Compost TUV Austria.

BioBag holds compostable and biodegradable certificates issued by several certification
institutions like TUV Austria (formerly Vincotte)  (OK Compost), DIN Certco, BPI (USA) as well as other
specialized certifications such as the GMO-free certificate.

 

ISO certification

BioBag International AS and our production partners have been
certified according to ISO 90001 or ISO 14001. Our ISO certification means that we have
established, and will maintain, a quality system according to the requirements of EN ISO
9001: 2008 ‘Quality Management System’ and an environmental system according to the
requirements of EN ISO 14001 : 2004 ‘Environmental Management System’.
